Many factors may affect how your eyes ‘look’ and ‘feel’ despite seemingly good vision. These range from how dry our eyes are to eyelid problems to corneal surface problems.
The retina is the most critical aspect of our eye that we should aim to preserve for as long as we can. As our body ages, our retina is susceptible to retinal degeneration.
Although myopia is hereditary, we can take steps to prevent it, as well as poor eyesight and lazy eye, from developing in our children.
While most floaters are benign and harmless, about 10% can indicate a retinal tear, retinal detachment, or retinal bleeding, potentially leading to serious eye disorders.
Early detection of glaucoma can be treated with eye drops, medication, laser surgical procedure, modern microshunt surgery, glaucoma drainage surgery or a combination of these methods.
Symptoms of early cataract may be improved with new eyeglasses, brighter lighting, anti-glare sunglasses, or magnifying lenses. Advanced cataracts may require surgery.
