Dr.Claudine Pang

Dr. Claudine Pang graduated with a Double Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) with Distinction and Gold Medal in Medical Ethics from the National University of Singapore in 2004. She was in the ophthalmology department at the Singapore National Eye Centre for 8 years, during which she received her post-graduate degrees in Ophthalmology including the Membership to the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh (MRCSEd), Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh (FRCSEd) and Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS). She also received specialist accreditation in Ophthalmology with the Ministry of Health.
Dr. Pang received extensive overseas exposure in the subspecialty fields of both Medical Retina and Vitreoretinal Surgery. She completed an 18-month fellowship at the renowned Vitreous-Retina-Macula Consultants of New York, Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital, New York, where she worked under the mentorship of Dr. Lawrence Yannuzzi, a highly respected pioneer in the ophthalmic-retinal community.
Following that, Dr. Pang was the first female in the world to receive the highly coveted William H. Ross Surgical Vitreoretinal Fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BEST well-known for their surgical abilities in the world, where she spent another year under the mentorship of Dr. David Maberley, Dr. David Albiani and team.
Dr. Pang also spent time with Professor Graham Holder at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, United Kingdom, working on Retinal Electrophysiology and Genetic Retinal Diseases.
Dr. Pang is an internationally recognised Retinal Eye Surgeon and has been a speaker at many international meetings and authored numerous peer-reviewed articles in the most-respected international ophthalmology journals in the world, where she was the first to describe novel clinical entities including lamellar hole epiretinal proliferation, pachychoroid neovasculopathy and ghost maculopathy. She has a special interest in Ophthalmic Retinal Imaging and has described novel techniques that improve imaging and diagnosis of vitreoretinal diseases.
Dr. Pang has more than 15 years of ophthalmology experience and has performed thousands of cataract and retinal surgeries making her one of the experienced cataract surgeons in Singapore. In addition to cataract surgery, her main forte is in retinal detachment surgery, macular surgery, myopic diseases, age-related macular degeneration, polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy, central serous chorioretinopathy, inflammatory retinopathies and inherited retinal diseases.
Outside of ophthalmology, Dr. Pang is a mother of 2 children and enjoys an active lifestyle including marathons and pilates. She also enjoys baking in her spare time. In addition to her passion for quality patient care, her patients appreciate her personal, gentle touch and approachable nature.
Dr. Pang believes firmly in giving back to community even from a young age. She is a strong advocate of family mission trips, where she brings her young children to help underprivileged people in under-developed countries.

Lynn Lau
Optometrist
Lynn graduated with a Bachelor of Science & Optometry from Cardiff University (UK). With vast experience as a senior optometrist in both ophthalmic clinics and optical stores, Lynn is highly proficient in eye refraction and optical products. Our patients value her for her professionalism and ability to make the best recommendations on prescribed spectacle lenses and contact lenses.

Jonathan Wu
Optometrist
Jonathan graduated with a Bachelor of Science & Optometry from Cardiff University (UK). He is keenly academic and has an avid interest in teaching Optometry Students. Jonathan also has special interest in low vision aids which we use to help our macular degeneration and glaucoma patients make full use of their residual vision potential.

Soo Zhiyong
Optometrist
Zhiyong is a fully registered optometrist with a Diploma in Optometry from Singapore Polytechnic. He is a senior optometrist with experience in both clinic and optical stores. Our patients love him for his gentle and meticulous refraction. His attention to detail and earnest quality puts our patients at ease and inspires confidence in our patient care.

Leong Shumin
Optometrist
Shumin is a fully registered optometrist with a Diploma in Optometry from Singapore Polytechnic, currently looking to complete her further education. Shumin is proficient with all clinic procedures and a great help to the team. She has special interest in volunteer work and has contributed significantly to our charitable eye screenings. Our patients appreciate her for her devoted and sincere nature.

Valerie Chen
Head Optometrist and Imaging Specialist
Valerie graduated with Bachelor in Clinical Optometry with Honours in 2013 from University of Manchester, United Kingdom. She has 5 years of clinical optometry experience in an esteemed Eye Clinic, specialising in adult and paediatric refraction. She is particularly talented in the field of ophthalmic imaging and has an aptitude for achieving excellent eye images, even for complicated eye cases. In addition, our patients love Valerie for her cheerful and charming disposition, which makes her a valuable asset to our team.

Eileen Thoo
Clinic Nursing Manager
Eileen graduated from Nursing School in 1994. With more than 24 years of nursing experience, she first contributed her nursing skills in Alexandra Hospital before moving on to the Ophthalmology field as a senior nursing officer and surgical assistant in a reputable Eye Clinic. Our patients are very comfortable with Eileen for her approachable, attentive and warm nature. Not only does she put patients at ease before surgery, she is also highly competent as a surgical assistant, which makes her a key player in our team.
