Ellex Tango Reflex Laser

The Tango Reflex Laser is an all-encompassing laser machine which is able to treat glaucoma, after-cataracts and floaters. The Tango Reflex combines multiple laser treatment into a single laser platform. Using this machine, Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT) or Peripheral Iridotomy (PI) may be performed to lower the eye pressure for glaucoma patients, Laser Capsulotomy may be performed to clean the posterior capsular bag for post cataract patients, and Laser Floater Removal (LFR) may be performed to vaporize or reduce the appearance of floaters. Being one of the few eye clinics with this laser machine, Asia Retina is able to offer more treatment modalities to suit our patients’ needs.

Iridex Micropulse Laser

Iridex Micropulse Laser Therapy is a non-damaging laser solution for treatment of retinal diseases and glaucoma that is a necessary asset for a comprehensive eye clinic. Unlike conventional laser procedures, there is no destructive or coagulative damage to the eye. The micropulse laser outperforms conventional laser because it is safer and less damaging to our eye tissue. Micropulse laser therapy can be utilized for treatment for Diabetic Macular Edema (DME), Central Serous Retinopathy (CSR), Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy (PDR) and Micropulse Laser Trabeculoplasty (MLT) in Glaucoma. Being one of the few eye clinics with this laser machine, Asia Retina offers safer laser treatments for our patients.

Optos Daytona

The Optos Daytona is an ultra-wide field technology that can capture 200-degree view (or 82%) of the retina in a single high resolution image in less than half a second. The standard retinal photograph captures only approximately 15% of the retina, which is less than half that of optomap ultra-wide field technology. Another advantage of this technology is that we are able to capture ultra-wide field retinal images through undilated 2mm pupils and even through cataracts. This ultra-wide field technology allows us to image pathology more easily and accurately, which allows our diagnosis and management of diseases more effectively.

Heidelberg Spectralis

The Heidelberg Spectralis Machine is a non-invasive, high-resolution imaging system that is able to scan the cornea, angles, retina and optic nerve tissues to provide important diagnostic information relating to cornea, glaucoma and retinal diseases. Its resolution is so high that it can show microscopic detail of the retina comparable to retinal histology. The Heidelberg Spectralis uses Active Eye Tracking technology that tracks the eye during scanning to compensate for any movement of the eye. This machine measures and assesses the retinal nerve fiber layers, ganglion cell layer and optic nerve head to calculate probability of glaucoma in a patient. It also performs both real-time fundus fluorescein/ICG angiography and non-invasive OCT angiography to assess the retinal and choroidal vasculature. In addition, it is able to provide autofluorescence and multicolour imaging which aids in the diagnosis of subtle retinal conditions.

Zeiss IOL Master 700

Zeiss IOL Master 700 is the newest swept-source biometry system that allows more accurate and precise calculation of the intraocular lens power needed in cataract surgery. It boasts the ability to make detailed calculations in almost all kinds of cataracts. It integrates all the necessary formulas to ensure better calculations for better visual outcomes.
